Sumo Showdown 1.5.0 makes the game simpler and online play fairer. Everything is built for kids first, with fewer words and bigger buttons, while staying fun for older players too.
Online Cups
- Pick a cup for 4, 8, 16 or 32 players and join the next one that is filling up.
- Computer players fill empty spots after about a minute, and get harder each round.
- The winner gets a special trophy: bronze, silver, gold or diamond, by cup size.
Fairer online play
- The Online menu now has three big buttons: PLAY ANYONE, PLAY A FRIEND and ONLINE CUP.
- If a connection drops, or the game closes, a 15-second countdown gives the player time to come back. Reopening the game offers RECONNECT.
- Leaving a match gives the win to the opponent.
- Every player gets a random name made from friendly words. There is no chat at all.
Less to manage
Coins, the shop, outfits, charms, quick chat, the Weekly League and the Daily Challenge are gone. Daily missions now give trophies, and the Tournament screen stays still while you choose a Cup. Players aged 13 and over can also use Google Play Games leaderboards and achievements, after a one-time age question.
